Nice's foundations year is 1904. The club was the football team of Nice's gymnasts. In 1924, it was only adopting the "Olympique Gymnaste Club Nice" name for itself.

The club was the semi-final appearance of Coupe de France in 1931, and '32 indicated the club turning professional in 1932-33 and participating in the first Ligue 1 campaign. Nice is one of the founding clubs of Ligue 1 first 20 clubs.

Nice stands one of the most decorated clubs in France. Their four Ligue 1 titles came in a rash in a glorious period. In the 1950s, Nice challenged Stade de Reims for domestic predominance, completing the first back-to-back league title wins in French football in 1951 and 1952.

Black and red is the primary color of the club. The badge of Nice consists of a crest in front of a stylized picture of an eagle. The logo includes the letters "OGC Nice" and black and red stripes.

There are a few styles of the badge through the club's traditional history in which an eagle has been present in the current badge. The banner in the bottom part is a comparatively new feature in the logo and states the foundation year.

Memorable Moments of Nice

In the Division 1 season 1950/1951 of the French Association Football League, the first Ligue 1 titles came to Nice's home. Obviously, it was the best memorable moment for the club.

The seasons of 1951-52 brought Nice's a lot of happiness with notable achievements that were the first ever for any club of France. OGC Nice won Division 1 (Ligue 1) season 1951/1952 of the French Association Football League with 46 points.

And in 1952, Nice reached Coupe de France fina. On 4 May 1952, Nice defeated FC Girondins de Bordeaux 5–3 at Stade Olympique Yves-du-Manoir, Colombes.
