History of Carolina Panthers

Established on 26 October 1993, 28 years ago, as the league's 29th franchise 1993, and began to play in 1995 under the original owner and founder Jerry Richardson.

The Panthers showed well performances in their first two seasons. They finished 7–9 in 1995, an all-time best for an NFL expansion team's debut season, and 12–4 the following semester.

They did not see another winning season until 2003, when the Panthers won the NFC Championship title and reached Super Bowl XXXVIII, losing 32–29 to the New England Patriots. After playing playoff appearances in 2005 and 2008, the team failed to play another playoff appearance before 2013.

After defeat in the divisional round to the 49ers in 2013 and the Seahawks in 2014, the Panthers bounced back to the Super Bowl in 2015 but lost to the Broncos. Since then, the franchise has appeared in the playoff games only once, in 2017.
