History of Real Madrid

Real Madrid CF is a club that progressed out of Football Club Sky, formed in Madrid in 1897. The Club was officially established in 1902 and joined the Royal Spanish Football Federation in 1909.

The Club at first named Madrid Football Club; it wasn't until 1920 that King Alfonso XIII granted them the title of "Real" or "Royal" in English.

Real Madrid is also known for four different nicknames. These are "Los Blancos (The Whites)," "Los Merengues (The Meringues)," "Los Vikingos (The Vikings)," and "La Casa Blanca (The White House)."

Club Badge and Colors of Real Madrid

The first badge had a simple design consisting of a decorative interweaving of the three initials of the Club, "MCF" for Real Madrid, in dark blue on a white shirt. Real Madrid has historically worn a white home kit since its foundation.

When King Alfonso XIII allowed the Club his royal patronage in 1920, the title "Real Madrid," meaning "Royal," was created. Real Madrid Club de Fútbol added Alfonso's crown to the badge and designed itself.

Key Players and Managers of Real Madrid

There is no hesitation that Karim Benzema would be Real's most supreme player as we progress into 2022. He has been Real's leading goal scorer since the leaving of Cristiano Ronaldo.

However, this season Benzema has found support in players like Vinicius Junior and Marco Asensio, who have been helping the Frenchman out.

Vinicius Junior is Real Madrid's second most important player in the new year. Real's electric 21 year old Brazilian forward already has 12 goals and five assists for Real Madrid this season in La Liga.

Marco Arsenio has done his best for his team, scoring six goals. Thibaut Courtois has been an absolute wall in Real's defense and is someone who deserves a lot of appreciation for all that he has done so far from Real Madrid.

Even Tooni Cros, Nacho, Eder Militao, Luka Modrich, and David Alaba have shown up with rare goals, making Real Madrid a dangerous scoring team from any position.

The Italian professional football manager and former player Carlo Ancelotti joined on 1 June 2021 as its new Manager. Under his management, the Club won Supercopa de España in the 2020-21 season.

Noteworthy Stats of Real Madrid

Real Madrid won 93 major trophies, including 34 La Liga, 19 Copa del Rey, 12 Supercopa de España, 3 Intercontinental Cup, 4 FIFA Club World Cup, and 19 Cup from Europe.
