Livingston Football Club is a professional Scottish football club. The club's location is in Livingston, West Lothian, Scotland. Livingston is currently playing in the Scottish Premiership and the club formed in 1943 as Ferranti Thistle, a team of workers.
The club got admitted to the Scottish Football League and changed its name to Meadowbank Thistle in 1974 and played its home matches at Meadowbank Stadium in Edinburgh.
After relocating to Livingston, West Lothian, in 1995, they have finally renamed Livingston and have played their home games at Almondvale Stadium. The ten years following the movement of the club brought notable success.

The club began its journey as Ferranti Amateurs in 1943. A team of the Ferranti engineering company workers initially played in the Edinburgh FA's Amateur Second Division level. The club became known as Ferranti Thistle in 1948.
They began participating in the Edinburgh and District Welfare Association, where they played for five seasons, before moving to senior division football in 1953, joining the East of Scotland League.
The club changed its name from Ferranti Amateurs to Meadowbank Thistle from 1974 to 1995. They achieved promotion to the First Division in 1983 and were relegated back to down in the next year. They won the Second Division championship and gained promotion to the First Division in 1986–87.
Meadowbank Thistle moved to a new stadium in the new town of Livingston and changed its name again to Livingston Football Club in 1995. The club became more successful after being Livingston FC.
In their first season as Livingston, they won the 1995-96 Third Division titles. Livingstone gained promotion as Second Division champions in 1998-99. In 2000-01 the club finished its First Division campaign as title winner and got tickets to compete in the Scottish Premiership.
Yellow and Blue are the basic colors of Livingston Football Club. The current badge of Livingston contains a lion in the center zone, and two leaves cover it from either side.
The badge also features two banners, one in up with the club's name "LIVINGSTON FC" and the other at the bottom with its location name "WEST LOTHIAN." The entire badge is designed into a yellow outlined shield shape where the background is black.
Livingston's players wear black shirts, where the yellow ribbon shows slightly, and black shorts with black socks as its home kits.
Bruce Anderson has scored 11 goals and three assists and become the top performer of Livingston this season. Alan Forrest and Ayo Obiliye are also playing excellent.

On 14 March 2004, Livingston claimed a 2-0 victory over Hibernian, thanks to a goal by Lilley in the 50th minute and another by McAllister in the 52nd minute at Hampden Park, Glasgow.
